Conference program

The RDI Network Exchange program has been designed to encourage dialogue and mutual learning.

Keynote speakers will explore the major trends shaping Australia’s development sector today, what the sector needs to do differently, and how we can move towards a new, more equitable development endeavour.

Panel conversations and research and practice showcases will provide insights on:

  • locally led development

  • climate resilience and sustainable development

  • economic empowerment and livelihoods

  • gender and women’s leadership

  • governance

  • development financing

  • health

  • monitoring, evaluation, research and learning and more.

Experts will offer masterclasses on:

  • political economy analysis

  • supporting local leadership

  • strengths based approaches to development; and

  • writing blogs and opinion pieces.

And there will be plenty of  opportunities for networking and interaction, including facilitated meet-ups on topics such as cultural diversity in the aid sector, sharing research findings with communities, and measuring the success of climate change adaptation as well as a participatory welcome session, daily small-group reflection sessions, and a conference dinner.

See the current conference program (event schedule) below. Please note that the program is subject to change up until the 10 and 11 July. Check back here for the up-to-date schedule.
